Problem 1 talking with Australia psot
see Christopher Norris
28/3/25 TT went to australia post and they insisted she had to provide ORIGINAL COPIES of death certificate and probate.
TT told them that the form says certified copies is fine. Took a while for them to admit their mistake.

Today at 28/3/25 9:06am at Figtree post shop 2525, with staff Snezana, I presented a Notification of decease person. The form requested that I had to get myself identified and present a current unaltered original OR certified copies of the death certificate and grant of probate/letter of administration.
I had brought along the latter - the certified copies of the death certificate and grant of probate.
Snezana initially refused 3 times to process my documents because she insisted that the documents had to be original documents. She asked me to come back again. Before I left the queue I pointed out to her on page 2 of the Notification of decease persons Auspost form that Auspost did accept certified copies.
She replied that if she does proceed and there are any problems, it will be my responsibility to bear. Which I thought that was unnecessary as I pointed out to her that it was allowed per the Auspost form.
She offered no apology for refusing to proceed with my application on the basis that Auspost only accepts original documents (which was wrong)

Present your supporting documents at your Australia Post interview. You will need the original documents, or certified copies.
In some states, grant of probate and letters of administration can be applied for online and a paper version is not issued. These are stored electronically and can be accessed through the relevant supreme court website. You will need to:
- print the document
- ensure the document is certified appropriately before attending your interview at Australia Post.
You can take the supporting documents with you after the interview.
If you intend on applying for a grant of probate or letters of administration, wait until you receive the court grant before submitting the Notification of Deceased person. This will avoid delays in processing your request.
The lady at the post office is confused
Proof of ID has to be original
death certificate + supporting doc doesn't need to be original

Problem 2 procedure of LPR ato
- 25/06/25 Jenni called ATO. ATO told Jenni they didn't receive the application https://teresatranassociates.freshdesk.com/a/tickets/175766
- Jenni failed to get reference number. Chris asked jenni to call back and get reference number - she did not call back
- Chris complained to australia post https://teresatranassociates.freshdesk.com/a/tickets/175978
- and they said it was processed properly on 03/04/25
- Chris called back ATO. ATO said they have the application, but looked in the wrong place. in the end application was wrong.
Problem 3 Macquarie access

Story
- past up to 15 august 2024 -
- @Teresa Tran and @Jenni Luu needed missing home loan statement
- TT thought lawyer should do this
- lawyer alleged they did and Macquarie alleged they sent it but we didn't receive anything
- TT decided to call Macquarie and get what we need and mention about husband passed away etc. This put Teresa to the deceased department team etc
- 14th-15th October 2024
- Chris investigated
- chris found that the homeloan was in Chris and Thi-Hong-Loan's name
- therefore, it DID NOT require the lawyers involvement. It only required us to call Macquarie, do not mention deceased, and only say Hong Loan needed her Macquarie online password reset + access to loan statement
- Chris got what office needed. feedback
- check the loan statement name. If it was only in Chris Norris name, then we would have to get lawyer's involvement
- if it was a joint name - then it doesn't really require us to mention Chris Norri's death. Mentioning death means the stupid Macquarie team transfers you to a different department and the bank does stupid things.
