In September 2023, CommSec's International trading platform with Interactive Brokers LLC (IBLLC) as its International Custodian commenced, and eligible pre-existing accounts with Pershing LLC as the International Custodian were migrated to IBLLC's platform.

On 31 October 2024, our pre-existing International trading platform with Pershing LLC will close.

As you have been migrated to IBLLC's platform, we will be closing your CommSec International Securities Trading account/s with Pershing LLC as the International Custodian from 31 October 2024.

Further information

There is nothing you need to do. Should you wish to access statements relating to activities on your CommSec International Securities Trading account/s, you can do so by following these steps:

Accessing statements up until 31 October 2024:

  • Log into the CommSec website
  • Navigate to 'Portfolio'
  • Select the 'International' icon next to your International Shares account (beginning with the number '8') to launch the international platform for your account
  • On the platform, navigate to 'Communications' then 'Statements & Reports'
  • Select the period for the statements you wish to access
  • Click on each statement to view and download

Please note - statements are only generated for months where there has been activity on your account.

Accessing statements from 1 November 2024:

From 1 November, you will no longer be able to launch the international platform to access your statements. You can continue to access statements from your account by performing the following steps:

  • Log into the CommSec website
  • Navigate to 'Settings'
  • Select 'Create a Request'
  • Search for 'Closed Account Statements' and select your account from the drop-down menu
  • Submit your statement request.

Please note - it can take up to 72 hours for your statement to become available for download through the Self-Service centre.
