ETFs require time to prepare since you require an ISSUER ANNUAL TAX STATEMENT to do your tax return. 

This CANNOT be substituted with the ETF's payment advice or commsec report. See below. As per the example, you must wait until after 2nd August (or late August, it varies between different ETFs) until this ETF released their annual statement.

Tax statements for investors who held the Vanguard Active Emerging Market Equity Fund are expected to be made available on 2 September.

Tax statements for investors who held REITs and Stapled Securities are expected to be made available mid-October and pre-fill late October.
