When you purchase a motor vehicle or a substantial asset/equipment, there is a special tax treatment and procedure that must be abide by in order to avoid further troubles with the ATO.

Things to action with the supplier/financier

Please action the following:


1. Provide our details to both the supplier and financier to be added as an authorised contact should we require any additional paperwork.

we also attach a letter of appointment if they require one for their record. All you have to do is print 2 copies, fill it out, sign it, and provide 1 copy to us and 1 copy to them.

2. If any documents are required from our office (financials, tax returns, etc), please ask the dealer/financier to email us the request. We need all request in writing via email.


3. Please send a copy of ALL of the following documents to our email admin@ttran.com.au 

  • Motor Vehicle or Asset/equipment purchase contract (aka a detailed tax invoice. See attached for an example)
  • All tax invoices related to the purchase, clearly showing the GST amount - including CTP, dealer origin fee, insurance premiums, vehicle registration fee, state's registration fee, etc. 
  • Motor Vehicle or Asset/equipment loan contract  - if there was any finance arrangement
  • Amortisation schedule - detailing the breakdown of the repayments: principle, interest, GST, admin fees, final balloon payment etc from the start to the end date. See attached for an example.
  • Internet log in access to finance/loan statements - if the finance/loan provider offers internet access to the statement, please set this up and provide us with the login. 
  • Contact details of the dealer and financier - name, branch address, phone, email,
