The procedure is as follows:
  • You/We must call the ATO and verify the following: 
    • marriage certificate, name change certificate, birth certificate, etc.
    • tfn, dob, and an ATO correspondence with a document ID
  • If the ATO Agent on the phone cannot verify the marriage certificate due to system issues, then we must complete the matter via post attaching a certified copy of the marriage certificate.
