What is it?

This supplement will be paid to both existing recipients and new applicants of CentreLink per the eligibility;
Payments will be backdated to the time you register your claim.
- Existing recipients - will receive $550 on top of their current existing CentreLink payments
- New applicants - of CentreLinkwill will have to apply for JobSeeker. Once you get approved for JobSeeker payment, whatever it is that you get paid, you will get an additional $550 ontop Depending on your circumstances,
  - Circumstances that may reduce your JobSeeker pay include
    - your personal situation, such as if you have children or a partner (see full chart below to see the maximum you can receive for JobSeeker payment)
    - how much income you’ve earned in the past 14 days.

Basically, a New applicant to CentreLink, will apply for JobSeeker, and then they will get
- $? JobSeeker (aka NewStart........per fornight; this amount is determined by CentreLink, per chart above)
- + $550 Coronavirus Supplement.........per fornight
- $ Total payments given to you by the Government..........................................

JobSeeker Eligibility:

includes those that already receive any of the following:

Australian citizens
Aged 22-66
Meet the income test
Asset limit test has been waived, except for Farm Household Allowance and Special Benefit.

And to include any of the following:

Permanent employees who are stood down or lose their employment + ARE NOT accessing their
- annual/sick leave
- Income Protection Insurance

OR
sole traders; the self-employed; casual workers; and contract workers who
- now earning less than $1,075 a fortnight as a result of the economic downturn
- meets the income test

OR
Person required to care for someone who is affected by the Coronavirus

You won't qualify for a cent if:

your partner earns more than $79k (formerly $48k), you won't qualify for a cent;
OR you are a New Zealander who arrived in Australia after February 26 2001
OR you are on a temporary visa, including refugee and bridging visa, you will not get a cent.

Have 3 forms of ID ready (photo ID, passport, medicare card, birth certificate, etc.) and either

go to a CentreLink office to apply for a CRN
